Smile! Take Two.

Now that's more like it! Don't you think? We were unsure if Ella would sit with Santa, or if we would have another family photo, but she did it! When she saw him, she ran right up and got up on his lap. She even did some talking! Maleah on the other hand was like a deer in headlights. She didn't want to sit on his lap at all. See those little stools on each side? We were thinking that might be the best we would get, but she did it! No talking though. She said she'd be happy with any old thing he decided to bring her! Ha! That was one of the funniest things I'd heard all day!

We went to Santa's Wonderland, and if you haven't been, you MUST go! (College Station) We really enjoyed it, this was our sixth visit there! They have some new displays and the girls just loved it. Ella kept saying, "wow!" and even tried some "bootiful"s. It was a joy just to hear all of their reactions to the beautiful lights.

I can't wait for all of the fun and excitement of the morning. I always get a little teary eyed looking at them on special holidays and being so thankful for them and for Greg. Today we will deliver some poinsettias to my dad. That will be special as well.

Merry Christmas to all!

Smile! Take two.

Smile! Or, not.

I didn't think it would be so painful to take a photo in some pretty dresses! Maybe there will be a better one later. I kept thinking to myself, "that's what I would think the picture would look like with Santa as one of the photographees!" (I don't think that's a word!) But, I guess it's tough to be so cute! Maleah seems to have the hang of it though.

What?? It's Snowing?

The palm tree looks a little funny with snow falling around it, doesn't it?

I had to take this picture so it would be believable!

The girls had so much fun! Even though there wasn't enough for them to do anything with, it was very exciting for them!

As far as Maleah was concerned, this was a great day! smile

Christmas Program

What an angel, huh? Maleah made us proud during her Christmas program. She practiced her songs long and hard and did a great job! We think she's the cutest angel around!

We've been busy!

Hi Friends! Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I have been busy getting ready for a couple of Holiday markets. My mom and I completed 76 (WOW!) pillowcase dresses and I have been making bows to match. Next weekend, November 1, I will be at Kaufman's Little Canton, in Spring. It's an elementary school and the show is from 9-3. Come by and do some Christmas shopping! I am hoping to post some photos this week so if you can't make it and you know of someone who is interested in some of my goodies, we can talk! Christmas is 2 months away! Whoa!

All is well!

We are now home from our vacation or "hurrication" as a friend called it, and all is well. Our power came back on Friday night and we are so glad to be home. I have lots of photos to post, but haven't had time to load them to the computer yet, so check back soon! Thanks for all of the calls and prayers, we are blessed to have such wonderful, loving family and friends.

After Ike

Hi everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that we are ok. We rode out the storm and now are without power. We had water but no phone, cell phone signal and we were rationing water so our septic wouldn't overflow. There is no word on when the power will be back on. We had a few trees go down in our yard, but nothing hit the house, PTL! We can now be reached on our cell phones, so give us a call if you like. Thanks for all of the calls and prayers so far, we appreciate it!

New outfits!

I made these outfits for the girls last week. I saw a cute and easy pattern for the skirt on another blog for Oliver and S (VERY cute patterns for sale too) and went straight to the machine to try it out. Then I realized they didn't have any tops to match so of course, I had to take care of that right away! Any excuse to sit at that sewing machine! I think I am going to make skirts out of all of the scrap material that I have leftover from all of the pillowcase dresses I have been making. Hint hint, get ready great baby nieces!!

BEFORE

We've been having some beautiful weather, so over the weekend, Greg took the top off of his Jeep. The girls were so excited to take a ride with no top! Well, once we got going, Ella didn't seem to like it too much, but...

AFTER

...can you believe, they both fell asleep on the way home!!

Can you say...SASSY?

Ok, this was not staged! Ella did this all by herself, I just took the photos! Super sassy!

Fun at the Toomey's

We went for a visit with Claudette and Chris last weekend. It was a great time for all, except maybe the cat! As you can see, "Cabo" is hiding from the girls, under the bed!

Hanging out with the cousins

Fairy wings

Just another day in dress up land! Tutus and wings are a regular occurance around here! They are a cute one too, I might add!

The Big "K"!

This is Maleah's teacher, Mrs. Arnold. Today is the big day! The first day of Kindergarten.

Kindergarten Meet the Teacher!

The proud Daddy!
Mom's first meet the teacher too!
What an exciting day for all! Maleah went to meet her teacher and see her new classroom. She was excited, but a little nervous too. This is the same school she went to for PreK, so she knows it will be great!

How about THAT hair!?!
